Sunset lodge is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy some of the best sunsets around. We are located on the Wisconsin Great River Road and overlooking the Mississippi River and the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife Refuge. For those of you that want something else to do, there is plenty. The river can be accessed from many public boat landings, so bring your boat and fish, tube, or just take a cruise.
Tour the Amish country.
We have a large Amish  community just a short drive away. They sell many of their crafts  including quilts, solid wood furniture and baked goods.
Winter:
In the winter we are only 10 miles south of Mt La Crosse. This is one of the Midwest's best ski resorts.
Spring:
Spring brings the migrating birds, pelicans, geese and ducks, and don't forget the bald eagles, that love to hunt for food right in front of the lodge.
Summer:
Time to just relax and enjoy the river and the views, or bring your boat and try out the great enjoyment of the upper Mississippi.  See the area from a whole new perspective from on the water.
Fall:
Watch as the colors change on the bluffs around the area, enjoy fresh picked fruits from the local orchards. Witness the fall migration as thousands of waterfowl head south, including Tundra Swan , ducks and geese.  Watch the Amish use turn of the century technology to harvest their crops.

What ever the season, there's always something for everyone at Sunset Lodge.
